Vinyl acetate-rectificate CH3COOCH=CH2 (acetic acid and vinyl alcohol ester) is a colorless, transparent liquid free of solid contaminants.
Applications:
- "AC" grade - for production of polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl acetals and vinyl chloride copolymers.
- "AD" grade - for production of polyvinyl acetate, ethylene and other unsaturated compounds copolymers.
Vinyl acetate-rectificate is inflammable liquid with explosive vapor - air mixture, it has narcotic and general toxic effect, causes eye irritation and respiratory problems.
Transportation: in special truck tanks or railway tankcars made of aluminium or stainless steel. Stop valve and filler to be sealed.
In the period from May 1 to September 30 hydroquinone (GOST 19627) is added into vinyl acetate in the amount of 0.001-0.005% of vinyl acetate mass if storage and transportation time exceeds 2 days and also if ambient temperature is higher than 15°C.
Guaranteed storage life: 2 months from the date of production.
