TU Ukraine 24.1-05761672-195-2002
Nitric acid, HNO3 is colorless or slightly yellowish transparent liquid.
It is an oxidant, when contacted with various materials it causes their self-ignition. It fumes in the air releasing nitro-gen oxides and nitric acid vapors and it absolutely dissolves in water.
Finds application mainly in electronic and radio and electronic industries as an electrolyte component for chemical and electrochemical etching , in production of microminiaturized electronic and radio elements, laser beam generators and optical and electronic devices.
Nitric acid is also used in production of catalysts, ion-exchange resins and in many others industrial and researching applications.
