POLYVINYL ACETATE DISPERSION (PVA)
Homopolymeric course polyvinyl acetate dispersion is a product of polyvinyl acetate polymerization in aqueous medium in the presence of the initiator and protective colloid of polyvinyl alcohol.
Appearance - viscous liquid of white or slightly yellowish colour. Exhibits good bonding and adhesive properties to var ious materials. Coatings from PVA dispersion are distinguished for high mechanical strength, light resistance, and resistance to fats, vegetable and mineral oils.
It has wide application in various sectors of economy: as an adhesive for paper, cardboard, wood, plywood, cotton cloth; in production of containers and packing from paper and cardboard, corrugated cardboard and wood; in manufacturing various consumer leather ware; as a binder in production of water paints, polymer cements, organic concrete, seamless coatings for floors, etc.
Packing and shipping in railway tank cars and tank trucks, steel (200 kg) and plastic (58-63 kg) drums, crated PE containers (1 t). Other types of packaging are allowed with the user's consent.
Storage in tightly closed containers indoors at 5°C min.
When ambient temperature is lower than +5°C PVA dispersion is supplied in plasticized form.
Guaranteed shelf life is 6 months from the date of production.
PVA dispersion is produced in the following grades which differ in composition and application:
Ä40Ñ, Ä51Ñ, ÄÔÌ40/10Ñ, ÄÔÌ51/10Ñ, ÄÔÌ51/15Â, ÄÔÌ47/50.
